You should take a look at horizontal coolers rather than vertical, like the noctua NH L12 or, what I have, the scythe big shuriken 2 rev B. The second is a bit of a pain to install but nothing too bad depending on the motherboard.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

After 4 hours of comparision charts, reviews and prices comparsion y have a winner: Noctua NH-L12. The Noctua NH-U9S is 1 degree worse but is 5€ more expensive than NH-L12(50€). I believe for an i5 will be enough.

Hi all long time lurker looking at grabbing me one of these. Question I have though is whether my psu will fit as it's 200mm long modular. Case says it is max 200mm. But does this then include space for the cables....or actually max 200mm Inc cables.

This is the one. I like the pretty white lights...and all ready own two of em so would be a transplant

It is a good cooler..I replaced the 92mm fan underneath with a second 120mm improves sound and cooling. All depends on your motherboard clearance though..

I measured it. You have exactly 30mm of extra space to work with. You will have to organise your cables mighty well.

WackyDothraki the official gigabyte page claims 278mm so it will fit, this case have a maximun of 300mm for the GPU.

Alpenföhn Atlas should fit. It's 125mm in height and max cpu cooler height in this case can be 127mm from the CPU heatspreader. Theres a build on the linustechtips forum where someone fit a Noctua NH-U9B which is also 125mm. In a week or so I can give you confirmation whether it fits or not, I have ordered a 901 and an Atlas today.

The Noctua D9DL is also an excellent cooler, which I used for some time in the case. Kept my i5-4590S nice and cool even when gaming. The trick is to use a blower-style/rear exhaust GPU. Also a 120mm intake and 92mm exhaust, and if you're not overclocking, your temperatures will be very good.

Hey man, nice work with this build! I've been following this thread for a couple of weeks. Really love what you've done!

I'm attempting my first build in this case and was wondering what brand of cable sleeve and specific color / size you used? I'd like to borrow some inspiration from your build.

Thanks for everyone's contribution on this thread, it's helped a ton as a first timer. Cheers

Case arrives on Thursday, components maybe too, but I won't have time to assemble everything until Sunday probably.

Edit:

Here's the case with the Atlas inside and some mocked up LED lighting

Edit2:

Temps after 30 minutes of Prime95
