Popping my cherry on first new computer ever and I figured I'd share my build since it's a tiny bit different.

$2,500 AUD

The Bits

1 x Corsair Carbide Air Series 540
1 x Gigabyte OC Windforce R9 270X
2 x AMD Radeon Memory Gamer Series 16GB
2 x Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler

1 x Intel i7-4790K
1 x MSI MaxPower Z97
4 x SanDisk Ultra 256GB
1 x Corsair RM 850W

Not Yet Ordered
3 x Noctua NF-F12 PWM
3 x Noctua NF-A14 PWM
1 x NZXT Technologies Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller

Cooling Strategy

The cooling startegy will consist of Noctua products with 6 fans and 2 CPU coolers. I will be removing the current windforce heatsink from the R9 270X and fitting the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler in it's place.

3 x 120 fans will create the intake from the front and 3 x 140 fans will exhaust from the top and back.

Application Speed

The goal of this build is provide the fastest possible application speed for the budget. The SSD's will be configured in Raid 0 and PrimoCache will be used on 20GB of ram to improve performance for Photoshop, Visual Studio etc.
