Game stutters like mad in Borderless, just like GTA.

Run fullscreen, stutter is gone.

I haven't played the original, and bought the Witcher 2 the other day for $4.

However, I feel that the mechanics are quite...odd.

Like blocking with your sword, it seems like it's very strict on which enemy you block against and there's a delay when you do change enemies (and still get damaged).

I am about 2-3 in, and the game doesn't seem to ramp up. Nor can I regain health until after combat, then if I do happen to get into a second combat without fully healing, I am done.

Am I missing something about this game?

Combat is kinda strange, lockon is really poorly done. Once locked on in order to change target, you have to unlock your existing target, turn around and lock the next one..
Cant just tap it to lock next target ;/

That gameplay mechanic still the same in Witcher 3?

Also I found the all spell signs quite overwhelming especially with their lack of explanation -_-

I was expecting something like a more rigid version Shadow of Mordor in terms of gameplay mechanics.

Any idea why my settings keep resetting? Really annoying.

Like Texture.

Are you daft? It says what it does in the article you quoted.

"On Ultra, there are no further improvements to clarity or detail, merely an increase in the memory budget, allowing more textures to be stored in memory at any given time. Running around on foot this makes little difference, but when galloping on horseback it minimizes the chance of encountering the unsightly streaming-in of high-quality textures."

It's like the advanced texture settings in GTA5.

I agree that it seems counterintuitive at first, but if you relate to other games, "unlimited" or no frame rate cap is usually chosen by setting max FPS to 0. It also makes sense that the limiter is disabled by sliding left like all the other options.

I haven't played Witcher 2, but it doesn't seem strict about who you're blocking in W3. It seems to me that you block everyone. And you can regain health while in combat.

I wish they added a multiplayer gwent to the game. I want to make a deck of medics, clear weather and double stats when placed beside the same name. So easy to win when you use that strategy.

Liking it so far, mostly smooth, no stutter, everything maxed to ultra and all post processing on

You're daft.
It doesnt do squat for the graphics, so its pointless to activate, and unless your PC is extremely slow or you play on a slower HDD of age then you might want it set to Ultra.

See no reason to turn it on. Havent noticed any texture streaming or popin.

Wouldve been nicer if textures ACTUALLY improved with ultra.
