You can walk anywhere you want though it's not in the tutorial biggrin.gif

Press CTRL to switch between Walking / Running.
Hold SHIFT to sprint. thumb.gif

Go to the folder The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt\bin\x64 and rename Galaxy.dll to Galaxy2.dll and you're good to go. For some reason game was accessing the internet and I blocked it in firewall and game instant crashed. Later my internet messed up a bit in middle of game then also it crashed. Thanks heaps man will definitely give it a try

I got about 5 hours in last night. Accidentally cut off some of my quests by turning in the main one in the first area for... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Killing the Griffin
so dont' make the same mistake as me. You can still return to the zone and finish other quests, but some cannot be continued after that quest apparently. Because they popped up on my screen as failed.

My only complaints are the overabundant amount of wind blowing trees/bushes around, kinda looks silly, and the lack of ambient fog etc...

Other than that, the game is great so far, graphics bugs or anomalies at all, I am very proud of a day 1 launch here. Slays Dragon Age, even after being out for months and still have graphics issues.

Inventory is pretty nice, could use a tweak or two for my own personal tastes. Have to press over a lot, no way to skip around much.

I'm getting acceptable framerates with two 680 Classifieds, with everything turned on except AA. 25-60fps. Very playable for a hack and slash. Cutscenes are pretty choppy though, I think due to the hair. No issues with alt-tabbing either.

Probably because they own it...valve is to steam as cd project is to gog as ea is to origin..

I haven't played the original, and bought the Witcher 2 the other day for $4.

However, I feel that the mechanics are quite...odd.

Like blocking with your sword, it seems like it's very strict on which enemy you block against and there's a delay when you do change enemies (and still get damaged).

I am about 2-3 in, and the game doesn't seem to ramp up. Nor can I regain health until after combat, then if I do happen to get into a second combat without fully healing, I am done.

Am I missing something about this game?

You heal in battle by drinking specific potions BEFORE the battle (the ones that allow you to regenerate health during the battle) It's a stupid mechanic (true to the books though) that expects you to be clairvoyant about knowing there is a fight about to happen. The witcher2 is over rated gameplay wise, the actual combat is really terrible. It's for people who like really bad fiction and video game aeriolas. I hope 3 is better.

2's combat isn't horrible. Have you played 1??? That takes the cake.

Also, make sure to meditate after/before every battle to make sure you start off with full health.

Every battle can be won by quen>roll>attack>roll>attack>roll>repeat...it's bad and boring. Yes I played 1, one was different at least. That's my opinion, we all have opinions.

im playing in the second hardest option and some battles can be real tough.
i bumped into some ghost somewhere and felt i was playing darksouls hehe
but its good, once you get then hang of blocking and dodging attacks.

Whuuut? If you slat the Griffon, side-quests fail and that's it? That's crap, not very good for Open-World RPG!
