I see they cancelled the buff in which raffards decoction + delayed recovery made you invulnarable. but I found another way ... I found it biggrin.gif and it's not the second life mutation.

I use mutated skin with razor focus + superior maribor forest, that gives you 30%-45 damage protection right away
I wear armor with good protection percentage, the actual level of the armor doesn't matter, as long as it has high damage protection numbers. most of those are heavy armors (I use lvl 51 hen gaidth) so you gotta enchant it to make it light. then clear your inventory down to absolute minumum (mine is 32) and use arachas decoction. another 20% protection.
Use the protective coating skill + blade oil for another 25%, you now have 90% protection.
Now use the griffin decoction, let the enemy hit you several times (the damage they deal is ridiculously small), after several hits you build up your resistance up to the point where you don't lose vitality at all.
tested it on lvl 87 archgriffin when I was lvl 56. works like intended. I spawned a quen shield and it stayed at 100% even though it hit me. If you have the sword that you got from the lady of the lake you deal only critical hits after the 10th strike since you don't take damage.
Ursine gear would be even better for that even if they are rated at lower level, since it's got the best protection (76% monster protection if I count correctly) and huge adrenaline point gains.

I just love the character development when all the intricate pieces fall together. It's boring if it's easy.

I like this build even more than the one I created with the euphoria mutation + full grandmaster griffin set and entanglement enchantment. 570% sign intensity and the enemies are in the slow motion mode like all the time. It was more like toying with them than fighting.

Great thanks. Now I need to get this darn game running. +rep

I just figured that the whole grandmaster ursine gear + griffin decoction gives you 100% protection against monsters already, without the other buffs. Griffin decoction scales up to 25% protection. The problem is you gotta get hit 13 times to build up that 25% (every hit is 2%). Without the other buffs a red skull enemy will kill you twice in that time.

lol but what if you use the undying skill.... hmmm. still not gonna work probably. I'm talking about enemies you gotta hit a hundred times to kill, not your level enemies.

Witcher 3 GOTY edition announced, will release on 30-August-2016. Do you think EA or CD Projekt Red will upgrade normal version to the GOTY edition? If not, how can I?

Most likely not. The goty edition will be full or close to full price once its out. The original version will be heavily discounted, but will not include the dlc for free. This is the normal route. I dont see it changing.

For difficulty I personally like Better Combat Evolved V3 and Combat Scaling for 1.22. The former changes talents and things, the latter allows you to tweak enemy level/damage/health. Definitely punishes you for making the wrong decisions. Turns your everyday enemies from Diablo 3 to more Dark Souls 3

I was a bit sad yesterday playing this as the game was coming to an end, but at least I had the DLC to play yet.

To my surprise, it was not the end of the game biggrin.gif
