Especially Xbox has to suffer with games coming to other platforms aswell. Titanfall is not on PS4, but on PC. Ryse is coming to PC. Dead Rising is coming to PC. Rise of the Tomb Raider is only going to be a timed exclusive. Probably 6 months after the Xbox release you have it on PC with free DLCs on steam for 30€.

Atleast PS4 has Bloodborne, Uncharted and The Order 1886.

I mean is there even a reason to buy an Xbox One? ( I am not bashing, I am actually curious about it).
Halo? I think once you have spent like 15 years playing FPS games with Mouse and Keyboard you just can't but laugh at playing shooter games with a Controller. Tried the Destiny beta on PS4. Aiming with an analog stick feels like arduous, impedimentary, impairing slow work. It is so inaccurate that the difficulty of a console shooter lies more in the struggle of maneuvering a handicapped aiming device than anything else.

For me, I am looking forward to these titles

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Gears of War
Halo
Sunset Overdrive
Phantom Dust (Oh yes!)
Quantum Break
Scalebound

Ah you are right about Scalebound. That might be interesting, because of Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya but there is no gameplay yet, is there?
It also might come to other platforms down the road.

No gameplay that I am aware of. It's currently an Xbox One exclusive, but as of late, we know how much that means.

The biggest reason PS3 had issues with 3rd party games is because the 360 was almost always the lead development system for these games, there were a few 3rd party games that the PS3 was the lead developing system and those games turned out better on the PS3 "such as bf3 with superior lighting/textures and a more stable frame rate than the 360 version". The devs actually said it was far easier for the PS3 to be the lead system and then port over to the 360 instead of vice versa.

Now personally I would have thought that there would have been separate programming teams, one for ps3 and the other for 360 but im not sure if that was the case. Another thing to consider with 360 sales is that due to the RROD a lot of people bought more than one 360.

I find the 360 was the First person shooters console whereas the Ps3 was the 'mature' gamers console. You can tell that by the titles comming out for the PS4 now that'll be the same this gen too.

It's a shame the 360's were so unreliable. I know ps3's occasionally bricked but it wasn't nearly as widespread of a problem than MS' console.

That's what I hated about last generation, there's just been so much emphasis on FPS that I'm completely over it as a genre. Give me some good platformers, RPGs and the like...Or a next gen Forza/GT with more cars than Forza 4/GT5 have. rolleyes.gif

Because Gears of War and Halo aren't completely played out by this point. I'm just as over them as I am over CoD, although I can see why some people would still want them.

I have been on LIVE since it began. My xbox one is sitting and waiting for Halo, and thats it.

Iv stuck by them for years and i will continue to do so because i think they have done a lot for console gaming, but man, Microsoft and the xbox one what a disaster. From the moment it got announced at E3 last year it has just been down hill. Phil Spencer being in charge is definitely a positive though.

And how underpowered are these consoles?! The Xone is struggling for 1080p on most games. Terrible. I was gaming at 1080p when i built my first rig in 09 with a 4870HD.

A bit late but no, if anything it's over-loving them! tongue.gif

Right now my PS4 sits Idle ( As in, not plugged in ) it's under a dust-cover with all the controllers covered up. I do think it was completely bad luck, once a system is plugged in it very rarely gets moved, the room is fairly well ventillated and a PC is never on when a console is ( Old house pre-dates electricity and I don't fully trust the wiring to be completely honest ). I know the problem with 360's was the solder effectivly 'melting' under the heat of the console however I know it was a widespread problem. A few people I know have only had one console, some have had more. I think it was largely fixed by the time the 'silm' 360's but by that time I'd just given up on it. Even now I have my bricked 360 sitting on the shelf with all my games, I keep wondering if I should ever get it fixed. I miss the games, I feel sorry for it because I've had it so long but will it just RRoD again? It will get to the point where they can't be repaired by anyone anymore. ( Yeah I get attached to Inanimate objects tongue.gif )

The 'Fat' PS3 I have is immaculate, still hooked upto my HDTV but I only have 11 games for it; Last of us, Uncharteds, Ratchet & Clanks, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two souls and Red Dead Redemption. Yet I find .. I 'feel' it is the better console than the 360 because of those games. Even though I own double the 360 games the only two I miss playing were Gears of War and the Tomb raiders. However it's all dependant on the Genre of games you like, I don't think I'm competitive and I don't like "PvP" I'm more of an RTS / City building player.

So, here's to another 8 years of awesome games and hopefully many a good exclusives that make me wish I bought the other console ! drunken.gif
