FWIW Alphacool and Phobya are different branches of the same company owned under the Aquatuning umbrella. The differences between the same type product between Alphacool and Phobya, whether that be blocks or rads or whatnot, tend to be window dressing more than anything else.

Phobya is the Aquatuning house brand. Alphacool is mostly separate now with Aquatuning being their primary distributors. But yeah- lots of similarities still biggrin.gif

Has there ever been any news that Aquatuning spun off or sold Alphacool in any way? I know in 2010 the company I worked for had to deal with a copyright claim and it was Aquatuning GmbH who was the plaintiff claiming our product infringed on their Phobya and Alphacool products. I don't know what came of it because it was settled in a matter of days but at least at the time they were all one and the same.

Remember the whole saga of Aquatuning allegedly trying to file for trademarks of other companies a few years back? The whole responsibility was put on an Alphacool guy and then the Aquatuning rep had said that Alphacool is independent now. It's mostly on Xtremesystems.org and then discussed elsewhere also.

I had also spoken to Alphacool and Aquatuning guys recently and they said the same thing.

What is the dimension of the coldplates of -
1. XSPC Raystorm
2. Alphacool Nexxos XP3
3. EK Supremacy EVO
4. Swiftech Apogee XL

I'm asking because I am wondering whether is it possible to safely mod Supremacy to fit with Raystorm's mount bracket.

Since the Haswell-E die is more square than rectangular, did you see any significant difference in how you would mount the blocks (regular or 90deg) with that CPU?

I'm particularly interested in the 380i, since I just ordered one. Looking at the drawings and pictures here, it looks like you want the Koolance logo parallel to the back edge of the MB. Is that correct for the 90deg mounting?

I know it's old, but I would love to see what how Supreme HF stacks up compared to the rest. If it is a case of availability issues, I would be willing to send mine to test with the plates as I have everything except for maybe a 2011 mounting plate. So if I could be guaranteed a safe return I volunteer to be the guinea pig. smile.gif

The reason I would like to see this done is because some of us are still on them and if there is no need to replace the CPU block, then we would see this as a result. thinking.gif

Subbed though. biggrin.gif
