No, thats not all.
Look at lines in texture's. they are more sharp now (Luma sharpen.) You can see this very well in the galaxy background.
Light and flares are brighter but without loosing details, this does happen with standard Interstellar profile in EDFX.

The brownish mist you get in asteroid fields is lighter, less brown.

Subtle differences but i like it.

Try EDFX and create a setting you like and share it with us thumb.gif

just got back around to playing and was looking to make some serious creds and got into smuggling.
i've never been more addicted to the game. well im not sure if its the game im actually addicted too as much as it is the credits.

after kitting out my asp explorer i had 3m creds left. by the time my play session ended (which was doing all smuggling missions) i had 43m creds. pretty amazing.

it is such a rush to make it into those stations without getting scanned. the times when you do get scanned and your heart is racing and you can get away is an awesome feeling. on the other end of the spectrum ive been scanned quite a few times with 3 or 4 missions on me worth 3-4 million credits each, that, that makes me want to baby rage. not to mention that usually happens outside the port im going turn the missions in to, 350+ ly away from the mission hub.

good game is good.

Long distance smuggling is a rush.

Oh - and no biggy:

Kills : Approx 980
The rest :Marked military arms
Insurance claims : 0
Hours taken : 16
Combat rank : Expert 87 to Master 95

Looks like I will get the 50 mill at the END of the next cycle but this week I will do mostly marked military arms with my anaconda. Should be 11 x 2 jump trips and about 8 million invested. Might be running some imperial slaves to pay for that.

Power play is one of the most questioned parts of the game... There needs to be a sticky on OP or a whole other thread because I'm also not 100% up to speed on how it works.

You pledge to whoever.

You find out where they are "expanding"

Head out there and the military strikes will be visible in the nav menu.

Drop into one and kill the red dots on your radar.

Go back to the HQ and check in the kills via the powerplay contact submenu

When you have enough points you automatically get promoted at the end of the week and receive your pay check.[/quote]

OR:

pledge as normal, then "trade" the Marked Military Arms to the systems highlighted in the PP galaxy map.

Bottom line:

Earn merits to get promoted and earn a bigger salary. Getting involved will help you figure it out. I am away for the weekend, but I shall be heading out to the Strike Zones Sunday night. LMK if you want to have a go, winging up reeeaaaly helps spead up the process. No joke, rank 3 is 2 hours work., rank 4 is maybe 4. Less if you have help.

Is there a way to work through powerplay without combat? I'm doing ok in combat, but if I could manage rank 5 by trading in less time that's cool. I've got about 15m I can dump into just trading, in case I need to lose money to make money.

it would take a looong time.

rank 4 would be do-able in a few weeks.

Ironically once you are rank 5, trading becomes more viable - since you get allocated more of the 'stuff'.

Rank 1 : 10 tonnes
Rank 2 : 15 tonnes
Rank 3 : 20 tonnes
Rank 4 : 25 tonnes
Rank 5 : 50 tonnes
