Well done. I think I'm gonna grind merits for the Imperial Hammer starting tomorrow. Just pledged to her, hopefully I can get rank 5 in a week, then maintain it for four weeks. That'll be easy money to grab my new power plant. Not sure what PP item to go for next, though, I'm leaning towards doing prismatic shields just to have them.

If you gain the ability to purchase a PP item, does the ability to purchase it go away after you pledge to someone else? I'm assuming it would.

I am planning to buy a few extra ships to put several APAs onto - just in case.

Also - getting reeeaaaly sick of this Cubeo grind. Up to Earl now.

I tried HIP 10716 yesterday. Similar idea, but no SRV requirement. On the plus side all the factions are Empire aligned, so everything contributes to ranking up. Whereas at Cubeo, about half the missions aren't aligned - so you only get cash.

Overall it balances out though and the rank increase is about equal. More cash at Cubeo though.

I suppose I should go jump on it. You have a guide for doing the Cubeo stuff?

How big are people's E:D installation folders?

Mine is 50Gb, which seems a little excessive.

Mine's 19.5Gb. Try doing a fresh install? Not sure where exactly ED stores screenshots, you might have a glut of those.

Thanks man. Gotta get that rank for Cutter. Saw her in a screenshot thread the other day, and decided that I must have her.

Mine is 18.8. 50GB is larger than a full Star Citizen install. You probably have elite 1.5, horizons 2.0, and a beta or two still installed.

By default Elite stores screenshots in user\pictures\frontier developments\elite dangerous. Related to screenshots, is there a way to make it not take pictures in .bmp? It's a crappy format, and I would much rather have reasonable .png screenshots. I have to convert them to .png to use them as wallpapers anyway or else windows screws them up. mad.gif

Break it up, or the grind gets too much.

I target a rank rise, then go off and do something else for a bit.

So many cutters about now, the annaconda just isn't 'cutting' it any more.

I wonder if there will be something bigger eventually? (like a capital ship)
