Mercury S3 Radiator Placement

I'm hoping to have a question answered about radiator placement in the S3. I'm hoping to have the equivalent of 2 x 240mm rads but I'd also like to include an optical drive. Seeing as that would only leave room for a shallow 5.25 bay device with a front and top mounted radiator, I was thinking about moving the front rad to the side panel underneath the window. Would the 240/280 S3 side mount work in that situation? The product's description isn't clear on how it's supposed to be used (eg with plain ventilated side, in the pedestal, etc.)

Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!

For reference, here's the mount I'm talking about:

The side mount is only intended for the pedestal. The 120.2 drop-in mount might work for you situation as it pushes the upper radiator further back in the case. If your radiators have short end tanks, the front radiator could be used in the upper 6 bays leaving the bottom one for your ODD. Barb clearance could be tight, but doable with the right setup.
