But can't atm since satellite pings are not nice. Which is a bum since that was back on the old 2500K with slower RAM sticks. Now I got the 4770K with a bit faster RAM and SSD.

Need to get the map converted so I can get back to working on it. Just need to find out how to convert the map since that before that update that redid how worlds where generated, etc. Kind of miss the crazy stuff back on the early minecraft. Could find some crazy land structures.

Hehe, I never gone that far on a build yet. Those where done on the old server and I got that far in under six months. I can build fast even if I don't have world edit or vixol sniper, but if I have them. Well, I'm a speed demon. But I tend to not use them on detailing though.

I hope to someday host a server again. But going to be stuck in this area for awhile since I'm going to a Uni atm here.

How about a puzzle map? Things like mazes, puzzle locks, parkour/jumping puzzles and any combination thereof. It won't all be purely machine, but you can certainly cram machines and redstone logic of varying complexity into any of those areas.

If I had ever looked into world editing tools I'd likely have finished my city by now. As it stands I've been working on it since at least April 2012

That's a good idea, but I don't have the time with classes and work :/ I'm looking to build a single machine that's fairly complex and interesting, but not super duper time consuming.

I've pushed my chicken machine to its breaking point (like 1 fps near the machine) so it's time to move on:

It continuously catches their eggs and fires them back into the cage to hatch more. I have a lever to open the door and smash them on a timer (and an emergency lava pour lever in case there are too many and I need to purge it). It catches their dropped items and sorts them, cooks the meat, and then send it up to my chests. It was a lot of fun to build thumb.gif

Yeah I wish I knew how to use world edit (I just honestly can't be bothered). If I could, I'd have my structures finished, my city built, my towers fully finished, maybe even start on furnishing them. I don't know. Things would be a lot easier, that's for sure.
