are the temperatures on my i7 4790k delid and corsair h100i where they should be ?

I have a i7 4790k delid using coollaboratory liquid pro in between the die and the hs and in between the hs and the heat sink
@ 4.7ghz @ 1.28v cpu-z aida64 max temp 65c
@ 4.8ghz @ 1.32v cpu-z aida64 max temp 68c
I want to know if my temps are where they should be on my i7 4790k delid and corsair h100i because before I delidid my i7 4790k my temperatures where 5c higher on my i7 4790k then they were on my i7 4770k at the same voltage and I am trying to determine if some thing went wrong with my corsair h100i and that's why my temps were better on my i7 4770k then my i7 4790k at the same voltage before I delidid my i7 4790k

I have did the same thing. delid my 4790k with CLP on die and ihs and ihs to aio cooler. Im using the h105 corsair. @4.8 i have to use 1.375 volts and i get in aida64 70 degrees. never higher. So I think your setup is working correctly.

try running intel burn test and see how high it goes.

I also ran prime95 version 28.5 small FFTs and my max temp @ 4.7ghz @ 1.28v in cpu-z was 78c after running it for 2 hours . I know the corsair h105 beats the 100i by 2 to 3c at the most . but 1.375v is a hell of a lot more voltage then 1.32v and I am also using coollaboratory liquid pro in between the hs and the water block which should make up for the 2 to 3c that the h105 runs cooler then the h100i . what kind of case and motherboard do you have ?

I have a nzxt 240 and an asus z97-a. If you want to run cooler then do a push/pull setup but I think your temps are great. What is your cache ratio at?

If you want to do the same test to see if your setup is working in spec then do 10 runs of ibt and report back your highest temp. Mines was 96 degrees after 10 runs.

my cache ratio is on auto so I guess it is @ 4.0ghz and my ram is @ ddr3 2400

thats a good chip man if those specs are running stable. i need 1.32V for 4.7ghz and max temp is also 68 and im using regular thermal with h100i but i did delid my cpu
