We've been treating you to a few sneak peek at our X99 line up with the SOC Force and the Gaming G1. Today we present to you the X99-UD7 WIFI.

Hey everyone. While GIGABYTE X99 series motherboards are quickly approaching launch, we thought we'd share another teaser pic, this time from our upcoming X99-UD4 motherboard. Even the UD4 is looking sharp in my biased opinion with the LED lighting and heatsinks.

I like the colors and performance is hopefully better than the x79 versions. Maybe Sin can shed some more light here if he can.

I searched for it but could only find the threads on the SOC Force and Gaming WIFI boards. If this is a repost then this should be locked/merged. The UD4 tease was hours ago so I am not sure if that is the case though

Yup. Didn't know you were here too!

Don't worry, a "Black Edition" of the UD4 will come afterwards

Interesting boards. I very much like the fact that the Wi-Fi module is not built into the motherboard, it makes for a much more secure setup; besides, if you don't need it you can always physically remove it, with the bonus that you can install something else in there.

I'm curious to know if Gigabyte will be back to its former glory with X99 after the problems they had with P67, and, especially pertinent to this discussion, X79 motherboards.

no issue with GA-x79-UP4 here, but yes, there were issues with their UD versions.

I was already wondering what that 2nd connector was for. I understand now. Thanks!

Would this mean that if people don't want to use the wifi they could also run 2 m.2 drives in raid?

Looks pretty nice. Missing the classic gigabyte blue though.

I cannot see any differences between the UD7 and UD5 other than the top heatsink being connected to the lower one by a heatpipe.

Maybe I missed something but I looked through the specs and they are identical.

Anyone knows the differences? Is it in the quality of the parts?
