I just rebooted and started up Minecraft. Right now it's running at 3899Mhz (3.89Ghz)

It was 42c when I booted, and jumped to around 60-65c after starting Minecraft.

What do you guys think?

The governor scales down the clock speed when system is idle and increases it as needed.

I'd only worry above 70 degree, or if those temps were at idle.

That 128 was a misread. Intel cpus auto-shutdown or downclock at 100. At 130 or 150 semiconductors start losing efficiency anyway.

It jumps up to around 70-75C while playing L4D2, even after only couple minutes. I checked the thermal paste and it doesn't look like it spread well. I think I'll apply some new stuff in a day or 2. I'll report back if there's an issues.

Thank, everyone.
