Need speakers for £100, I am really unsure of sound or the best quality.

I went through an Audio phase a few years ago with a separate amp and nice bookshelf speakers etc...

Now I just use these and they are excellent. They will produce better, more accurate sound than typical computer speakers.

I don't dig subs for music, I prefer the speaker to be able to provide bass.

I know they are slightly above £100 but they are worth it.

Which one you like to do more ? Gaming or Music listening. Are you living in house or apartment ?
For gaming i recommend a set of 2.1 or 5.1 speakers if you can turn them loud. If you're living in apartment, you should buy a USB gaming headset for budget, or a open aired headphones with mic + sound card for more than 200 with very quality sound.

For music, i prefer to use a set or 2.0 studio monitor speakers, they have very good quality and cable connections are simple, almost plug and play. You will need a amp that can power these bookshelf speakers.
