Help me find a good monitor for under $200

Hey guys, I'm in search of a decent IPS monitor for my new gaming setup that is under 200 bucks. So far I found an Acer for 150 with an AH-IPS screen AND displayport, but don't know if it's good or not.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=pdL6U8anE8S3yASn-YC4CA&url=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx%3FItem%3DN82E16824009556&cd=1&ved=0CB0QFjAA&usg=AFQjCNGpOW_LR0WAHdjW5_-nHs92s4_PoA&sig2=8N4jtRv4t23LP4XAYSYqFw

What do you guys think would be a good monitor?

My only issue is I'm really looking for a displayport and IPS. I do plaY FPS but I'm not super competitive, and just want to appreciate good color quality and deep blacks.

Oh, and that acer is an ah-ips panel too.

You don't get deeper blacks on most IPS than on reasonably decent TNs.

I have the 23" version of the Acer B6, and it has horrible reverse ghosting (inverse artifacts on motion, too much pixel overdrive overshooting the correct color). It's fine for office use as a secondary monitor, which is what I use it for, though. Dell S series also had a lot of models with bad reverse ghosting. If you don't know what that kind of thing looks like, see this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8EmZcRRy6o
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJE9z6ta61U

It's somewhat more apparent in person than on 30 fps YT vids, of course.

The current Dell P series (P24_4H) is what you're looking for, at 1080p AH-IPS with DisplayPort (and no PWM backlight dimming, and a full adjustable stand, and VESA mounting). P2414H is on kinda-a-sale for $200 now at newegg. Smaller sizes are usually cheaper. This stuff is pretty well reviewed.

I bought this and it is one hell of a monitor for that money. The colors are beautiful and the stand is quite good. thumb.gif
