Corsair 780T Owners Club - Page 84

So this year, I did some upgrades to my rig. I started out here. And then later I swapped out the hoses for something clear. Added different colored fluid. But then I got extremely bored with it. I bought a few sticks of PETG, some new fittings. So I broke out the heat gun and got busy. Added backplates to my 980 TIs. Fluid is Mayhems Pastel red.

It was my first time bending pipe. I realize that these are not the most cleanest bends.

Waiting on some sleeving and cable combs, apart from that I think it's finished for now.

That build is making me wanna take my 780t outta the closet again. Really screaming for hardline tbh. However, that is an exceptional soft tubing job.

I came home from work today and noticed that before I turned my system on, I have a leak. I checked my fittings. All dry. I think it sprung a leak on the corner some where.

Time to upgrade both rads to 60mm thick XE from Ek. Going to run p/p configuration now.

finally finished, clocked out to 5.2 ghz ( asus Max 9 one click lol totally amazing ) stable with decent temps, couldn't wait for the AIB 1080Ti so I will have to sell the EVGA hydro copper which is a great card by the way when i upgrade.

For a first build in water cooling, I am pretty happy with the results. No leaks in a week, everything snapped back together and I have no spare parts.
I get great frame rates, internet improved huge over my last set up and it looks damn wicked imho
wasn't cheap at 6k for the system but hey nothing in life ever is. wink.gif

Oh wow guys, you all get my applause. These latest builds all look totally sick. thumb.gif

Question, does anyone know how to modify the stock front fans to be able to turn them off, completely? There's the fan control on the top panel, but all it does is reduce the speed and not totally turn off the fans. If this can't be done, would anyone know some fans I can replace these with that would allow for turning them totally off?

I hate the stock front fans in this case- they don't really help temps much and just pull in dust and dirt and get it all over my hard drives.
