On Thursday, we sat down with one of the marketing directors of Rantic, to talk about Rockstar North's future for the Grand Theft Auto series.
During the interview, Rantic Chairman John Hoffberger, stated that the PC version of GTA 5 could soon be cancelled due to 'corporate problems'. "The next-gen console launch dates are still intact, but the PC game launch has been agitating for Rockstar staff", John said.
NO NOPE NOPE NOPE....I have been looking forward to this on PC for so long now. I actually have some of my leave saved up to be able to just enjoy playing this.
Hard click-bait. Nobody quits developing a PC game because of 'frustrations'. Otherwise, recent Rockstar ports would suggest otherwise. Max Payne 3 was a solid PC release, and I don't see Rockstar randomly cancelling a game like GTA V to PC like that.
EDIT: This would just murder their reputation amongst PC gamers as well.
Not all news sites, only this particularly sketchy one. There is a reason neoGAF deleted the post about this. It's totally made up garbage to garner traffic.
Are you aware of how hard it was to pirate GTA IV? I mean they implemented one of the best anti piracy tools ever if you ask me. You could still play the game, But you would be drunk all the time. It was impossible to play.
Single player games dont sell very well on PC, way too easy to pirate... online games on the other hand are much more succesful on PC, ala MMO, RTS, MOBA, FPS.
I hope so. Honestly. The PC community does not deserve it one bit. Consoles on the other hand. That is where the sales are at. PC will just whine and pirate the thing. It never made sense from the start bringing it to PC. As pretty much everyone has played it by now. And sales will be little to nothing. Give us RDR 2!!!! Oh wait. PC never got that amazing game either.

The funny thing is that pc will make more revenue than the ps3 or xbox 360 version
