Hey guys. Sorry if I'm in the wrong section; I really have no idea how to categorize my problem. I was recommended to come here from teamliquid.net when no one could solve my problem there. Here's a quote of my problem from the previous thread.

I ordered a new Asus monitor along with a new GTX 760 GPU a few days ago. When they arrived, I found that I should have at least have a 600 watt PSU in order for my GPU to function properly. I went to a microcenter and bought a 600 watt PSU. My monitor was working fine with my old GPU and PSU.
I then started installing the new parts, replacing my PSU and then my GPU. I had some difficulties getting the computer to POST but after rearranging the RAM, the computer turned on fine. There are no beeps when it turns and all the fans run fine.
However, when I plugged in the new monitor, it said that it had no DVI signal. I double-checked my wires and then opened the case up and double checked that everything was plugged in correctly.
I found no problems with anything so I figured that maybe it was a faulty graphics card. I swapped it out for my old GPU and still the monitor wouldn't register a signal. I tried again with the integrated graphics but it still wouldn't find a signal.
I then tested the monitor on a friend's desktop and it worked fine there. I also replaced the new PSU with the old one and tried both the old GPU and the integrated graphics and it still won't register a signal.
Did I miss anything? Is there another option here? I don't have the money to go and buy a new motherboard at the moment so I'm really hoping I just overlooked something.
Since then, I have reseated the RAM and cleaned the CPU and CPU fan. I also tried inserting the GPU into my second PCIe port but I still have no progress.'
The old monitor is back at my house so I don't know what the model is. I know it's really old though, 1280 X 1024 resolution. The new monitor worked with my computer before I started swapping out parts.
try uninstall your old gpu driver before installing the card then instll newest driver
try using hdmi cable instead of dvi.
in bios setting integrated graphics peripheral to peg or pci.
next step clear you cmos either by using the jumper or removing your motherboards battery make sure your pc is unplugged if you remove the battery. while your at it take a look around your motherboard and make sure none of the compositors have blown.( i have this happen when i upgraded my psu before it really sucked).
Okay thanks. I tried removing the battery and putting it back in. Still nothing. If any parts of the motherboard blew, I just have to suck it up and get a new one, right? I'm giving up and getting a diagnostic of it from Micro center.
We've got it working. Microcenter diagnosed and helped fix it for free. Turns out some of my front port USBs were shorting the motherboard. Everything works! Thanks for your help.
