Anyone using a Samsung 950 pro M2 SSD on there Gigabyte X99 board? I see that the 512 gb model is on the compatible list but the 256gb model isn't... Anyone using it?

me.... with a DeLock adapter, on pci-express.
the onboard socket would limit the 950 pro.
256gb is only a little slower than a 512gb. The compatibility is the same

however, I really don't recommend buying the 950pro.
You would not see ANY upgrade over a normal SSD. It would be better buy a 1tb ssd at the same price. I'm not satisfied at all of it

Hmm interesting. A 1tb ssd would be great but a drive that is right on the MB would be cool too. Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

Today did try to set the blck to at least 101 without success, but somehow the board without any tweaking at all in bios can do on Cinebench15 3144 points w/ my Xeon 2696V4 and thats impressive to me, I hope on the next bios updates they don't mess up the performance trying to fix some other features.

If its any comfort, from what I have read, several boards have problem with big sticks. Not adviced, if you not for some very strange reason REALLY need an absurd amount of RAM.

Speaking of Ram... could someone recommend a ram kit? I'd love to have 8 sticks of ram but cant really afford 300+$usd. 8X4gb would be perfect imo but having a hard time finding one on the QVL for the UD5 wifi. Honestly I'll probably never use more then 16gb but why not fill all the ram slots lol. Thoughts?
