So you are saying that making money is bad, giving all the time, money and sweat they spend on developing it, for free is good.
I guess you live off the land and gave your house to the homeless?
Nvidia made g-sync to sell GPUs, to put more money into development, to make things happen, and you expect them to give everything away? Next I guess you expect a nvidia rep to come to your house to give you a titan 2 for free?
I'm sure AMD made eyefinity so nvidia can sell more surround cards, and AMD gave free games for nvidia buyers, and nvidia made SLI specs free so AMD can sell more cards, and AMD developed tressFX and gave it for free to nvidia.
I'm sure apple copied the design and gave it for free and never sued google, because they want google and samsung to sell more phones.
Do you even understand how expecting everything for free even sound?
Nvidia developed the gsync tailored to their GPUs using specific code to improve performance and responsiveness of the monitor.
Giving all this R&D for free is pointless. They made it to make more money by selling GPUs and monitors tailed for gamers who want the very best. Not to help AMD to sell more cards.

G-sync is something huge developed front 0 in which Nvidia invested a lot? Also I bet they knew about the possibility of promoting the same thing AMD is trying to promote. It's not that Nvidia PR ever said that something like FreeSync is impossible even if many still insist in claiming it doesn't exist. But we know how Nvidia is.
Well last I heard MS will release a free version of their OS. It won't have a lot of feature but ultimately it will be free. Also they have their testing program and anybody can install Windows 7, 8.1 Enterprise 90 Trial with the possibility of 1-3 rearms and being able to repeat the process after a fresh install. With apple I don't know but their OS doesn't even come close to MS's market share anyway.
I don't agree with the fact that AMD should develop something similar(as in proprietary) and let's be honest it's not like they can't but in the end how would this be beneficial for the general consumers?
Should Samsung restrict their Smartphone compatibility only with their TV's, should Sony and LG do the same? I bet you would like that.
How is that? Without freesync the feature would not exist. So AMD is doing his part and monitor makers theirs.
AMD made their part by offering it to VESA, and VESA were the ones who made the work to make the DP 1.2a standard and how to incorporate the adaptive sync to it as a standard.
Actually what AMD did was allow more delay to DP 1.3 which allows 4K at 120hz (which was supposed to be finalised already).
Also MS offering windows for free? Only for certain manufacturers to reduce the price the low budget machines which is going to fully incorporate the bing shop. So, no, its not free the same as to get OS7 is not free if you don't have an iPhone/ipad. What you are saying is like saying that OS7/windows RT is free if you have iphone/windows phone.
And there is no nvidia fanboyism here. Its just pretty plain and simple. If AMD want to develop something to compete with g-sync, they are more than welcome to. And if it works better, it will be the standard. Same with SLI (2004) and crossfire (2005), same with FXAA and same with other standards today.
If it flops (like the AMD 3D), it will be gone from DP 1.3. I'm sure g-sync will not last for very long once DP 1.3 comes out anyway and we will see IPS or similar monitors at 120hz. But for now, g-sync works, it makes good money to nvidia, asus, acer and others, and you can only blame AMD for not putting money where their mouth is (R&D, developers environment and so on).
Its like claiming that intel are evil because they don't give AMD their chip design for free.
