Not Decode, Encode:)

But primary i just want to see improvements, but as i play in 16:10 (1920x1200), over 1080p is a must.
Ah intresting. Wonder how it affects quality (I hope it hasn't have any negative impact).

What, it never existed;S
Where where did it come from then?
Pretty sure i read about it, something like (AMD releasing 285 and 285x blabla), but only 285 got released, so i thought the x was coming later on.

I thought it was announced too, but the 285X was only a "rumor"

Ah damn, guess i read it before AMD confirmed that it wasn't confirmed;P

This kinda sucks though, as i want Tonga cause of it's VCE upgrade (which basically is the only thing the other current cards lack for me).
But an X version could be interesting depending on how it performs.

But i guess i can wait a bit, as i have to wait for the 4gb versions either way.

In China the 285 can be found for 250-300 USD, the 970 costs over 400. On average the 970 is 125 USD more expensive.

As for imagining why people would buy the 285, I can't imagine why people keep buying super low end rebrands of the same old 5 year old chips.
