[IB] Apple: It's Not Our Fault Hackers Guessed Celebrity Passwords - Page 10

Hourly reminder that the OP title is completely flawed and it belongs in the rumors section. Apple explicitly says that they investigated it and iCloud flaws are unrelated. Also the OP clearly editorializes the text laughing at apple.

i.e. This not worthy of "news" whatsoever. And being picked up by the Press means nothing either. There is bad Press (especially related to celebrity related nonsense trash).

Absolutely agree.

This was the fault of individuals using commonly found information for their security information.

I highly doubt there was a hack.

The onus in this situation is on the individual that makes their security questions and passwords, not on Apple.

Time we start exercising some personal responsibility as a nation and stop blaming others for our own stupidity. thumb.gif

also as Masked said, you do take a degree of personal responsibility for keeping your own accounts in check. If someone at work puts a sticky label on their monitor to remind them of their password its instant dismissal for example.

Furthermore these celebs have millions in their bank accounts so shouldn’t they be a bit more careful and have a much higher degree of caution here?

They are lucky it was not their bank accounts that got hacked to be honest, If I were them I would be changing EVERY password and pin number they have ASAP, who knows what else was taken other then the pictures, they could have had some VERY sensitive information stored on icloud all the while being protected by a less then stellar password and security question.

After the UK's hacking scandal I am surprised this even happened, I thought people might have learnt the first time around, nobody is really safe when you involve the internet with you daily lives.

An infant doesn't have the language processing to understand the information nor the motor skills to effectively use Google.

So no, literally, an infant cannot do it.

Obviously the figure of speech literally went way over your head. Quit arguing for the sake of arguing.

And you haven't seen the "I could care less" errors. I literally read it more than the right usage. biggrin.gif

Who am I to talk though. English isn't even my native language. I don't even notice what I say.

I disagree, I've seen a 2 year old log into an Ipad. Considering that 2 year old has a solid grasp of language and motor skills, he can google. thumb.gif

You apparently have a significantly better grasp on our language than Mand does. thumb.gif

I think apple is taking the fall for some Sys admins at the NSA having more fun with photo sharing.

That is all.

Maybe your infants can't.

Ouch. thumb.gif

You'd be quite surprised. I've seen infants that know how to work a gadget better than their parents. Of course it's probably pretty rare for an infant to be able to actually read and whatnot, but you're being too nitpicky with the semantics.
