IIRC, the X99A MPower does as well. That's important as it is a mid-ranged motherboard.

It's not trust me only the Xpower & Godlike & Gaming 9 ACK " X99A"

anyone can help? x44 cpu ratio is set as you can see in the xtu screenshot but why it would only go 3.6ghz at full load? bios and me driver are up to date. ive been to the msi forum but no one can tell either.

Anyone knows what's up with QR codes now? After updating to the latest bios (HB) on my x99s gaming 7, the led display on the motherboard stopped displaying the cpu temperature when in windows and, it shows either "AA" or "73" when my computer boots up. Computer seems to work fine, but I was wondering if anyone knew more about this as the readme provided with the bios doesn't say anything at all about this.

I second that. Afaik the MPower does NOT have an OC Socket in either revision. Neither other "lower" tier boards from MSI.

And also iiirc only the one's mentioned by Mr-Dark from MSI have an OC Socket(which is called Turbo Socket) thumb.gif

Plus, at I can use it for a while and I can still upgrade slightly if I want. Also HardOCP noticed that the DPC on the audio on the recent MSI boards either performs just right or better. Also, the board colors match the custom cables I had made from ensourced. Plus, price is right. Its like That means I can get RAM, waterblocks, and other small things in one shot. So congrats, you just chose my mobo! Ordered. You did say the x99A and not the "S", right? oneeyedsmiley.png

Don't have any first hand experience with the KRAIT but I have the X99S MPower and love it. And since from the photos alone the KRAIT looks identical(even the pch cooling) I will assume its the same as the MPower with only slight cosmetic differences.

And I would love to have gotten the Krait too because it would fit my White/Black theme I'm planning to do. So congrats on your choice! thumb.gif

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thanks for the pics. Probably wont matter, but did you try with Adapative or Offset VCore? Also does this behavior only happen in XTU? Can you try other Stress tests like Realbench/AIDA64 to see if it still happens?

And Power Options presets in Windows. Is Balanced Processor states min at 0% and max at 100% or High Performance at min/max 100%. Try both of them please and lets us know.

Yes i did all those settings, it seems im the only one who have this issue. Anyway, i tried using oc genie and it works no problem, then i turned it off and just copy the settings from oc genie it would post as x38 and it works. Then when i finally tried at least x40 it would go back again to x36.

A quick google search on MSI Mpower X99 gives you the link to their product page at;

http://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/X99S-MPOWER.html#hero-overview

It clearly says "Extreme OC socket design" in the description.

In other words, you are wrong, it does have an OC socket.

Nope it doesn't, if it did it wouldn't have the little step, it would be all pins:

When I'm wrong I admit it and I even apologise if necessary. thumb.gif

But in this case, Extreme OC socket design means the socket is LN2 ready.

If you gonna quote something buddy, the least you could do is read it first. rolleyes.gif

Extreme OC socket design mean backplate for the socket for extreme cooling + LN2 support thumb.gif
