Guys, can you do me a favor and look on your boards whether your USB Enhanced Host Controller has any device plugged in or whether the USB3 one handles everything if you use the black USB ports on the back or via the header. This is something I've noticed that shouldn't be happening. This is AIDA64, Devices, USB tab.

Thanks!

Ah you wouldn't of guessed it, The latest Broadwell-e H.C Bios for the MSI x99a Gaming 7 board has been pull from the support page AGAIN...

Just 3 days after MSI sent me this:

"Dear ...............,

Thanks for contacting MSI technical support.

Regarding your concern, about the 86 issue, we will fix it in the next BIOS. About the Hardware Monitor. Please don't worry about it. Thanks!

Thanks for your cooperation in advance!

Best Regards,

MSI Technical Support Team"

Now I posted about the bugs I was having the first time around, seems it's more buggy the second..
Kinda loosing faith in MSI at the moment.. rolleyes.gif

Just noticed a bios bug, not sure how long I have had the problem. I suddenly found out Windows was only detecting 8 GB, while I had 16 GB installed (4 sticks).
Rebooted to BIOS, same thing; only 8 GB, but it detected all 4 sticks. Reloaded BIOS, saved and restarted, then it was OK again.
No idea why, and no idea for how long this has been like this.
Anyone else seen this?!

I have the same issue. I'm using the X99S Gaming 7 board on bios version. H.90. What RAM sticks are you using?

I have Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2666MHz 16GB, DDR4, 2666MHz 16GB 4 x 288 DIMM, Unbuffered, 15-17-17-35, Vengeance LPX Black, set to XMP profile 1 and 1,3 volt (CMK16GX4M4A2666C15).
I am guessing the 8GB thing happened recently, but no idea how and when.
As I said I got it back to 16GB after reloading BIOS settings.

Maybe its XMP-profile problem? @jpmboy ; any comments here? I can read you are skeptical about XMP profiles.

I have the exact same board and it takes around 10 seconds from pressing the power button to seeing the first post codes in the bottom right hand corner.

did you recently flash your bios? ifso i found that sometimes it doesn't detect the proper xmp / memory settings after a flash i had to resetup my whole bios after i went from 3.00 > 3.10 on the X99A gaming 9 ack

edit : on another note anyone know what the latest intel driver is for the chipset? since intels site is a mess and their tools aren't helping a hand in it either lol and msi is slacking off on listing latest drivers again ofc

This one: http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=352&func=fileinfo&id=2135&lang=en

BTW: I don't want to cover MSI here, but you won't really find any motherboard vendor that keeps the drivers up to date on their support page.
