I don't think it's free. Pretty sure there's some fine print there (as in free for 1 year maybe). I thought I read something along those lines, but I forget where.

Here it is:

Here's the fine print from the Windows 10 page on Microsoft's site:

“It is our intent that most of these devices will qualify, but some hardware/software requirements apply and feature availability may vary by device. Devices must be connected to the internet and have Windows Update enabled. ISP fees may apply. Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update required. Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1. Active Software Assurance customers in volume licensing have the benefit to upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise outside of this offer. We will be sharing more information and additional offer terms in coming months.”

Sweet, it looks like I read something wrong, and I'm glad I did. That means I can upgrade both my PCs to 10 when the time comes, and not spend any money. Eeeeeexcellent.

I am rather excited as well. It'll be nice as long as win 10 is what it is supposed to be. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some time to work on this case after I finish up a few designs for the StarCraft case. I am getting more excited the closer I get to finishing this case. I can't wait to start using it as my daily beast.

I should have your package in the mail very soon BTW. I was going to do that this passing weekend, but I threw my back out and could barely move on the weekend, so I haven't been very mobile lately.

Your the man! I have been so excited pondering the awesome mods I will be able to do. Sorry to here about your back. Take your time. Back injuries can be debilitating. I had 3 back surgeries before the age of 21. I really appreciate the care package and I will put every bit of it to use. Thanks again and I hope you feel better buddy.

I'm happy to say that I am able to do some more work on the Dark Side case today. The plan is to make the stickers for the ram sticks. This will help to give them a clean look as well as help carry on the design cues. I will be adding two different kinds because of the layout for the DDR3 heat spreaders. OCZ really did a good job with these memory sticks. The few small mods I've done to the new hardware really look great. Having these new stickers will help to bring it all together.

I started with the first tests of the stickers I made for the heat spreaders on the triple channel DDR3 ram. I think they came out great so far and just need a little bit of tweaking before they are perfect.
