PR stunt or not, I don't care. If this gains the companies more dollar, good. If it was delayed for any other reason than squashing bugs, I doubt the development team are sitting there twiddling their thumbs and left it alone.

Wasn't that a 8 core AMD CPU beat an any 4 core Intel CPU @ multi processing??

Actually, have to wait and see. If they optimized it right (Especially since we now have next gen consoles with weak per core performance) it may be like the MGSV and actually make decent use of 8 cores. Recommended specs are usually just guesses on behalf of the developer honestly.

Luckily the new consoles seem to be already having an effect, the games that are poorly multi-threaded on PC tend to run at lower resolutions or have stuttering issues on the new consoles and at least one new game can make decent use of ~12 threads.

I've certainly heard a lot about gang warfare in LA but I don't think most of LA is literally like Los Santos circa GTA SA in terms of gang warfare. Companies like to use piracy as a scapegoat, while not realizing it's not a large number (From what I've seen piracy tends to be lucky to number over a couple million...Steam has something like 75 million active users) or just not caring. Most of the reason I don't buy many AAA games these days is because I lost interest, especially since every other AAA game was an FPS for quite a while in the 360s lifespan..

Kind of a ridiculous analogy, that LA thing...and actually, there were areas in LA (ghetto etc) that were like that at the time, even still most likely.

A bit off-topic but, GTA 5 is just like the real Los Angeles with the dial turned to 100. Its pretty boring over here well..... expect for South LA at like midnight and you go there looking for trouble, We can't drive, rain is a myth, our lovely winter that is in the mid 70s and our 95f+ summers. (35c+ for all you people across the ocean)
