Yo, good job setting up the official thread for GTA V PC, it was about time. Always wanted to discuss matters about the pc version but could never find an appropriate thread. Either way I already got the game on PS3 but I am definitely getting it on PC once it is finally out. If you will need help just hit me up with a personal message. I can design some graphics for the thread if you want.
It definitely needs more artwork. I can probably get a sig working, but it might be best to wait until the official tag.
Also, you should be able to import your current online content to the PC version (or the One/PS4 if you have those and get it there too). Going to try to find the source on that.
EDIT: Op updated with an unofficial Steam group and this:

Really excited for this one. I had it on X360 and thought it was great. Surprised how good the graphics were on that ancient system. Can't wait to see them on PC, and to a lesser extent XboxOne.
It looks impressive on the 360 and PS3, can't wait to see the improvements they've made for the next gen/PC. Hopefully it won't be too hard for modders to make custom textures.

Same source as the announcement from R* themselves.
I am going to start fresh on PC as I completed the assassination missions before actually completing the main story. I didnt play Online so dont really care about that.
Dont get your hopes up, the story is awful and nowhere as good as the ones in the previous games. In my opinion GTA V has the worst story, you may like it though as it comes to personal preference.
Honestly don't mind the story in games that have a sandbox element to them. This might offend some people but...
I've always preferred Saints Row over GTA because GTA always felt like a crime simulator rather than a sandbox shooter. I loved the territory war element in SA and I wasted so much time goofing off in Vice City. But when I played Saints Row, I fell in love. GTAV looks to have the gameplay and online aspects to be amazing. It's a lot more realistic than SR, but still has a wacky sandbox element to it. I mean, have you guys seen any of the RoosterTeeth/Let's Play videos? I know a lot of that is having people to play with, which is why I was wanting to make this thread.
Oh man....I played a lile GTA back in the day on consoles ( like 1 , 2 and 3 ) never finished any of them because I didn't like consoles! Feel more at home on the Pc....and GTA5 is something I'm getting for sure! I guess you can play it as FPS which is going to be great! Looks like a great game and a way to waste a whole BUNCH of time on haha! Count me in for the PC version when it hits steam!
Yea I can't wait either! This game is going to be epic on the PC. Only played a few hours on 360 and decided to wait.
Has R* said anything regarding modding at all?
And I am assuming this game will have controller support day 1?
I'm expecting great things from this PC version if Rockstar wanted 2 additional months to work on it. GTA IV on PC was a disgrace on their trademark, one that I'm sure they don't want to happen again.
Well it's true. It's funny how people complain about GTA IV (which admittedly could've been better) but completely ignore Max Payne 3 which runs *really* well even on older hardware.
I played both. Although GTA IV sat in my Steam library for well over 6 months with a mere few hours logged in due to unoptimization issues. I feel like that's a valid reason to get worked up a bit at Rockstar. Max Payne 3 was a job very well done indeed, but it's a lot easier to optimize a linear 3rd person shooter than it is to optimize a free-world game like GTA. Or that's what my experience as a gamer tells me anyway, (I'm not actually a game developer).
Also, Rockstar has a certain reputation to live up to and they must take some pride in it.
Besides the unsurprisingly high HDD size requirement (65GB sounds like a new record), the specs seem low, but then again, this did run on the 360 and PS3. Its basically my first quad core build lmao.
