Here is a pic of what looks like a ref 970 and a 760. They are almost identical. I thought the 670 could fit a 760. So if A=B and B=C, I might be able to keep my block.

EDIT***

It seems that some of the reference 670 blocks will work with "reference like" 970's

-The reference Zotac (ZT-90101-10P) seems to fit the Heatkiller 760 (15540) and backplate (16008)

-Here is a the EK configurator for those wanted to use EK blocks.

-XSPC Razor block will work with modification(Dremel) on a ZOTAC board...look at page 5

-EK-FC670GTX+Inno3D GTX 970:

Keep in mind NVIDIA has lifted it stringent standards on board manufactures, so all of the 970 designs are all custom from each manufacturer now. The 970's with shorter PCB's are what most people refer to as reference, but they still could be slightly different. If you see a card with a longer PCB then it is definitely custom and will most likely require a special block.

Yea I have a 670 EK block and backplate as well as a broken 670 lying around. I can take some measurements for you tomorrow as it's 1am where I live now lol. What exactly do you need?
