GTX 970 Folding Numbers! - Page 22

Briefly reading this thread - i could'nt see anyones power draw with the GTX970, does any one have any figures of PPD to measured power draw (Over all system is fine)?

Thinking of upgrading my GTX650TIs to 3 GTX 970 or 960 (Goal is still to have no fans)

My GTX 980 is running at 450K PPD with total system draw of 220W (not including monitor), without the 980 running, my system pulls about 105W - This is in Ubuntu 14.10.
So, go figure about 300+K with a 970 with similar or lower power draw.

No lie, these cards sip power when folding.

Im using Zotac's software to monitor gpu power comsumption for a Zotac 970. Currently this is a core 15 in windows running at 99% gpu usage. Typically the core 17's run at 90% usage and 20 less watts.

While we're waiting for the 17s to pop-up has anyone ran "memtestG80.exe" program? I'm trying to figure out if it's broken on 900s series as the individual checks show zero errors but when the next iteration starts it's supposedly found heaps..

http://folding.stanford.edu/home/download-utilities/

edit: oops, I'm blind. Ignore me. Seems I have some issues here!

Edit2: seems this program is broken and that error is happening to all, someone did a fix but I can't find one for Wintel.

Looks like I have a stable 1550MHz graphics clock in Linux Mint on the 970. Getting 307K PPD.

Early reviews hinted of this but the choir of folding folks sure made Maxwell sound good. They are not free watts!
However, there are som AMD card s from yesteryear yhat sips a lot more wink.gif

Oh, my Ubuntu 970s seems to gace WUs again smile.gif
