Hi All

Just got two brand new gtx 970s, so of course first thing I did after installing them was running F@H to see how they perform (like you do).

Currently at stock boost 1329Mhz, ppd is 259,000 on a 9201!

Seems like great numbers!

I have to say that is a great improvement over the 780s/titans both in power and production in terms of folding. I think I will wait till an 980ti comes out and decide to retire my 780. But the looks of it, I will probably have to drop from my folding team then.

Thank you for the numbers and power reading $lient, it was much appreciated.

Definitely the "budget" card to go with for most PPD/$ it seems.

And what do temps look like?

I went with the MSi GTX 970 Gaming, it runs super cool and one of my cards stock boosts to almost 1400mhz. Unbelivable performance given the price.

Very true, I'd also like to see how they do on PPD when faced with a C15.

Ok, done some more testing, both with fans at 100% and maximum overvoltage and maximum power limit set:

1477mhz core overclock - 85C max temp - 8018WU @ 2min 0sec TPF
1502mhz core overclock - 67C max temp - 7622WU @ 2min 34sec TPF

The thing is you actually have to fold the wu's and complete them and not just test them.
