Anyone aware of any high-powered usb port on the X99X for fast charging phones in WIndows 8.1? The reason I ask is because Asus AI Charger doesn't seem to work and complains with memory errors on Windows startup and charging is slow. It worked fine while running Windows 7.

Yeah, "Gaming glory" ... what a bunch of marketing bull****. It's like wrapping tin foil around the eth to obtain double'triple lan, wan, wifi speeds. LOL. The Killer nic (aka: Qualcomm Atheros) is a junk chip... plus the driver/software included is loaded with bloatware. Intel, never bloats their software and provide the essential drivers and software... tho sometimes lacking some essentials but never bloated with junk.

I had ****ty luck with my move to 3.0 on an Extreme4/3.1 I lost 200-300mhz and I think my core temps are up too. I was running 4.4ghz @ 1.35v @85c full loaded. Now I can only get 4.2, but I can do it at 1.25v so my actual temps are lower than before. I also can run my memory at 2800mhz where before I could only get 2666mhz.

Interestingly enough they just released a 3.1 bios for my board today, I'd expect other boards will get a bios ver3.1 shortly.

Updates for X99X Killer 3.1 were disappointment after disappointment, I'm still running first released bios (1.00).
Are your temp and RPM sensors messed up too? Min and max in Open hardware monitor look like this:
