I Purchased one of each switch above and have it on my case but i have no clue how to set up the power and reset switch part.

I know the led part is just hook up the + LED wire to the + connector of the switch and the - wire to the - part of the switch? Is that correct?

Now with the power and reset switch do i have it set up normally open open or normally closed?

Which one do i use above for Power switch and reset switch on my momentary switches?

Typically Latching switches are used for power and Momentary are for reset (latching ensures the power is always on when you push the button in, it "latches".) Momentary is just, that, for the amount of time the button is compressed. It never latches.

An open circuit doesn't allow electricity through, since the connection is open, or broken. When closed, electricity can finally pass through.

I believe for power:
NO and C

For Reset:
NC and C

So I guess I will have to get a latching switch for power

Wouldn't the latching switch cause PC to turn off after 10 seconds since when u press it it latches and stays closed when that happens after 10 seconds it turns off

No, because the motherboard needs a continuous, closed circuit to stay powered on. Reset trips the motherboard into a reboot.

Pretty sure these are being used as case front panel power and reset, which both need to be momentary.

Perhaps you were thinking of the power on signal the motherboard sends to the psu which stays on, but that would mean you were attaching the power switch to the wire in the power supply's 24pin mobo cable which is rather over the top.

Power is typically latching and the reset is momentary...thumb.gif
