Hi. Order 9950. Everything went so smooth till I tried to snap on the extended top piece. So I will try to clarify. I purchased a white S8 on sept. 9th. Just arrived today and it is soo beautiful. Feels sturdy and well made. I wish the manual included pics of the s8 and not the s3 although I know they are similar. Anyways, with the side panels and front panel on, the 36mm extended ventilated hood can't snap on. From what I can tell the metal "posts" in the four corners aren't long enough to line up with the clasps on the drop in 120.3 x 2. Am I missing something? Are the side doors and roof meant to be removed and installed in any order? Because the roof will only snap on if the doors and front panels are off. I hope this makes sense. Also a side note - one of the two screw holes on the "motherboard support brace" is either stripped or not aligned because the included screw only partly goes in...it is Not flush. Please Help. Thanks. I can include pics if that is needed.
I think I know what you talking about. I had similar small problem with my SMH10 120mm ventilated top, ether the 2 front posts weren't high enough, or the snap-in clips inside 120mm ventilated top were to far off, so it wouldn't clip on.
What I end up doing, I got thicker clear round nylon washers and placed them on top of the shorter posts ten screw the clips on top to make up the missing distance, now everything is great.
Btw. White case looks great, I was going get mine white but ultimately end up getting black.
Good luck
I had a similar issue on my S5. I also thought the posts were too short. After some more thinking, I realized I had done it all wrong...
The snap-in clips are pretty fragile. When you clip in the top with the sides panels not installed, it is not obvious that the top clips have engaged and it is quite tempting to force the top down too much (which I did, of course!). This deforms the clips permanently, and the top goes down further than the normal clip position - and it will not latch. At that point, the clips are essentially dead, and the top is actually too low for the sides panels to install smoothly.
I ended up replacing the clips (you should have quite a few spares with the case), mounting the side panels first, and then gently mounting the top. Worked beautifully. Having the sides already in place helps figuring out how far down the top needs to go - it's much less than one might believe! Hopefully, this is what happened to you...
This was my first CaseLabs case, and I a couple of beginner's issues. One was the top clips, and the other was how to install the feet. I would have sworn nuts to secure the feet were missing. Until I finally realized that the rubber feet are to be installed at the screw-hole position closest to the corners, not in the center (untapped) hole. I was feeling a bit embarrassed at my stupidity...
Overall, I was very impressed at the case design and the quality of the manufacturing & packaging. The assembly was very straightforward, with a few gotchas due to my first-timer status.
Now I need to find the time to order all the parts for my build...

Caselabs cases are unmatched, they are not perfect but darn pretty close and the service which is huge selling point in any business today is the best Ive came across.
I know this is of topic, many companies today spent huge amount of $ on marketing campaign and they will tell you all great things about their products and service but one thing is preaching and another is practicing and i found many small or big companies not keeping their end of the bargain, that's why after all they tend to straggle and eventually they are gone.
Caselabs they don't just talk, they walk, if you have a problem they will do everything to make you happy, best of both worlds.

Hi there. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with this. I haven't personally experienced this (my S8 went together pretty smoothly) so I'm a little hesitant to jump to any "solutions" right out of the gate. Tiberiuspv may be on to something here. Please try mounting the side panels and looking at the top then. And, if you're so inclined, please include pics so we can visualize this with you. One way or another we'll figure this out.
Edit: One additional thing to consider, the metal clips bend in and out. This allows the clips to be adjusted by the user to allow a tighter fit, or a looser fit. Using a flat head screw driver you can "pry" or bend the metal clips up or down. Down will tighten them, up will loosen them.
You guys were right. Dumb mistake. I had put the top on without the side panels and pushed thru the clips/clasps. After replacing those, everything snapped together. Caselabs quickly responded via email and helped solve this issue. Great service! God this case is purrdy....
