"We don't want to assault anyone," he told IGN. "Each time we are thinking about a decision, the first rule is we have to treat gamers like we'd like to be treated. We don't believe in DRM because we hate DRM. It also doesn't protect, not really. Games are cracked in minutes, hours, or days, but they're always cracked. If you want to pirate you'll find a way. But if you're a committed gamer and are buying the game why should we place a barrier on you?"
Totally picking up this game, its developers like these that we want to support...unlike ea games. This will be an amazing game made by true gamers and if it's anything like the witcher 2 it will be amazing. Totally worth the $60 in my opinion for a game that will last 40+ hours. Sure the lack of DRM may make it easier to pirate but I'm sure the pirating community will respect that and hold them higher to the likes of other devolopers, perhaps it will cut down on pirating on this one.
Had really no idea what The Witcher is. Just watched about 10 minutes of gameplay on youtube and HOLY CRAP.... I am getting this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a PR stunt to say look at us we are the good guys here. Gamers buying it hook, line and sinker style. Wait until it backfires when no one buys it since people will be playing for "free".

Yeah but let me guess, it was because those titles were on Origin or uPlay? I don't buy uPlay titles that aren't on Steam, and I only buy Origin games that are exclusive if I really want the game. Mostly because those two platforms are horrible.
And this is why I will be buying two copies of this game (One collectors edition and one digital from GOG) As far as I'm concerned this is one of the very few publishers that will be seeing any of my money for a game at full price. Will be skipping DA:inquisition in favor of a second copy of TW3 since it requires Origin and WILL have planned paid DLC unlike TW3.
Blizzard has a DRM ? Unless you're talking about the battle.net launcher, well if you prefer to have 5 single launcher good for you.
And, your "gaming" activities must be so good, enjoying installing your games through CDs like we are back in the 90s ?

I mean, am I the only one here that don't care about that ? Come on its not a big deal. I like Far Cry 3, I bought it from Steam, still had to install uPlay, but well, when I want to play, I install it, it takes me around 5 seconds, I play the game, finish it again, uninstall it.
Origin gets hated just because its from EA.
Won't talk about Valve since I'm a big fan of this company and it would make my statement about them biased.

Back on topic, good to hear that from Witcher 3 devs, but if it was going to come with a DRM/Launcher, I would still buy it. Not playing great games (or potentially) just because of this kind of stuff is beyond stupidity.
