Ah ok, thanks

I suppose it makes sense in a way, still kind of annoying tongue.gif

In this case it's the Live account people don't want. One more account people have to manage.

Personally we use to have MSN dial-up an I still use that accout for email and Live tongue.gif

I believe there is the idea of portable user accounts, but is anyone logging in to their account on any pc. Not really and there should then be an option to remove account at log out. This would mean you could go to a internet cafe in France and log in to "your" desktop; then log out with no personal data left. This is a portable live account.

My biggest concerns/issues with it right now all have something to do with the taskbar. The notifications window annoys me more than it does me any good, the search and start menu come up slowly and dont aways even respond at all. I wish the start menu had no physical search on it and you could just press win key and start typing to search. I dont know why they did away with that after 8.

I would also like to see some implementation of the sidebar come back. It feels very weird to open up my wireless or display settings from the taskbar and have to wait for the settings/control panel, whatever they're calling it these days, to come up. I should be able to change my wireless network or turn off my displays without any hesitation.

On my laptop, the function + display key no longer works.

Please excuse any typos. I'm mobile.

Search and start menu being laggy will be dependent on the responsiveness of your HDD. I know nothing of your laptop so excuse me if this doesn't apply to you but most stock HDD on laptops suck. I know mine peaks at about 6MB/s read or 5MB/s write...
As for the thing about searching for the web, something tells me there is either a way to disable that now or there will be in another update/release.

I found the cause of the issue. It happens when you have your speaker properties set to anything but the default 16 Bit, 44100Hz setting. It could be a problem with the Asus Xonar driver.

It only happens on HTML5 videos, so your other option is to force YouTube to use flash, but you'll still get some issues on other websites.

Easier to use other browsers. That made me use IE for the first time in ten years. It's a secret plot by Microsoft to enforce IE again.

That is a HUGE issue for me. IIRC it changed to this silly window pop-up a few builds in. A real step backwards. doh.gif

I've certainly voiced my concern in the feedback, and made a point of giving a 'me too' to the other posts on the issue.\

Also, as a side note. What on earth is going on in the background!? I can no longer enjoy any 1080p videos on the web tongue.gif in any browser. In 7 it's a matter of resource heavy Chrome, but in the last few 10 builds i cant even use full HD youtube in IE (nor firefox, before someone try to recommend it)
