Looking for a mouse similar to this..

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a mouse similar to the one I have been using for some time now, the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 (Model 1058)

Basically, I am looking for the wired equivalent of a mouse like this. I'm very used to the ambidextrous, sort of big-body design. I tried the G400S and the indentations (doubt this is proper terminology) on either side of the mouse did not comfortably fit my fingers and palm grip style. The G300S looks actually perfect, but I feel like the macro keys on the m1 and m2 would get in my way.

Please feel free to give me any suggestions that come to mind. Thanks!

What's your grip style? Avior 7000 could be a choice. I recommend it a lot because I use it every day and it's one of the larger ambidextrous gaming mice out there right now. I don't think there are any other winged-out bottom ambi mice I know of that are gaming grade. Closest to that shape I can think of is the Avior, and the G300 of course but I wouldn't get the G300 because the sensor is nothing special.

Sorry, my grip is like a finger/palm grip hybrid; more heavy on the fingertip though. that mouse doesn't have the kind of body indentations (is there a proper term for this?) that my fingers are used to relying on. Thanks for your suggestion.

I doubt you'll find something outside the G300 then. I'm also a pure fingertip and it works great for me, so

I play primarily FPS games -- don't you think those macro keys constrict your m1/m2 usage? putting my fingers where I place them regularly and imagining using that, I see it really getting in my way

Cougar 200M.

Try Roccat Lua. It's not the same though, but somewhat close enough.

so far, the most promising thing I've been referred to is the Cougar 200M -- I can't find much information about it online though (hardly can find places to buy it online, 0 unboxing review in english, etc), but, it looks quite similar to my current mouse build with those side indentations/hour glass type shape. would love further recommendations if anyone has any -- thanks for everything so far.

Unfortunately, I can't find a place that ships the Cougar 200M to America (only found 2 shippers in Australia..) -- anyone have other recommendations?
