The beautiful thing about the 3.0 (outside of having the best sensor ever invented) is the shape. Many mice have attempted to emulate the shape but most are either too narrow or too short. For a man with a nice sized hand the 3.0 is near perfect (shape-wise. could have a better coating/texture, though).

totally agree, the ideal form.
nothing like I've never felt but 1.1a ofc
for me this mouse best shape-wise
i hope microsoft remake this mouse, new sensor like avago 3320 and new scrollwheel thumb.gif
but i think, Asus ROG Gladius - good choise for me. smile.gif nice replace of IE 3.0

This is why I liked my deathadder, I felt the shape was relatively close to my ime3.0

How come nobody has cloned the shape? Does MS have a patent on every shape that is close or something? I mean I know there are mice that emulate it, but you'd think someone would basically just copy it almost exactly (or exactly if there wouldn't be legal issues).

Zowie actually started by making WMO 1.1 mice. Same exact shell. They had to move to modified shapes. I'm not sure why, but it might be a legal thing.

Correction, they did not make them, they just bought old batches from microsoft and rebranded them.

Oh... Got it. Thanks for the info! I just remember reading about it briefly a while back.

Zowie sold the IMO 1.1 with a mousepad as a bundle for $80 back in the day.
