A very cool option would be something like the Wesena ITX5 at about 3 litres. You could use a riser to put the GPU where the DVD drive is supposed to go and (if you use regular mITX), the power brick to the left of the board. This would also need a bit of modding, though.

If you don't mind it being a bit large, and want to avoid modding completely, you can also use the Wesena HTPC-E5, which supports single slot full height cards and even FlexATX PSUs. I personally think the dimensions don't really work for a backpack, though. At that point you could just use the PC-Q19 as well. No modding required, internal power brick and support for dual slot GPUs, it even comes with the needed riser card. It is of course rather large, but would fit a backpack pretty nicely.
If you should think about choosing Wesena pls note that those cases are sold under Streacom brand in Germany (I mention this because you used Caseking so you're probably there or at least near).

Freilicht, I was talking about your build. That's by far the coolest SFF I've seen so far.

I really appreciate your reply, but I'm afraid I did something heretical. I sniped a 2013, 21,5" iMac with a GT750m for 700 € on eBay. That's about as much as got for selling my Mac Mini plus display, so although I'm not getting the performance I would have gotten out of a PC, I saved a pretty penny and don't have to part with my beloved OSX. Now I realise that all your help was for naught now, so I apologise.

Thanks man biggrin.gif

Well I can understand you, mac os is a great os and just buying a mac is pretty convenient, but this would've been even more interesting if it was a hackintosh.

No hard feelings, but if you ever want to build your own PC again, consider reviving this idea, it would make for an awesome project!

I'm already half considering re-selling the iMac, I reckon I could make 200 € profit, and build a hackintosh from that money.

I'll read up on the current situation of hacks and come back here in a while.

Later!
