[Build Log] Another ordinary X99 - Page 3

Take a look at Asrock X99 Extreme 4 but if it has to be one of those 2 i would choose Asus over MSI.
Get GTX970 instead of the 980 (5-10% more performance does not worth extra 200$)

SUPER FLOWER LEADEX 850W GOLD

Main box little damaged, inside all OK.
I wanted white one, but no chance here..

PROS: Very nice specs, solid build, nice "Dharma initiative" fangrill look,LED connections, same layout for pci-e,sata,molex(u can connect cables on psu, how you want), ECO mode switch to 55 C fanless.

CONS: Decent sleeving, very weird color connection to mobo(red-pci-e, blue-8pin cpu), noisier fan at heavy load(not tested)

Overall, very nice piece of PSU.. i like it thumb.gif

I check all x99 boards and asrock is no go wink.gif GPU: 980 i choose mainly for reason, blocks are available now. And blocks for 970 is big ??

in 2 weeks or so you will get 970 blocks from EK, no problems going with a 980, for me its just not worth the money over the 970

thumb.gifthumb.gif go with the 970 maybe the gigabyte g1 gaming they are overclocking pretty well and the cooler looks nice if you decide not to WC them (performance wise you dont need to the cooler is pretty good)

Maybe you could SLI 970's instead of going the 980 route and WC just an opinion though (much more bang for the buck)
