[Examiner] NASA Alludes to Claim of Possible Evidence of Life on Mars - Page 6

Aliens exist, and the intelligent ones are probably quite similar to us, in terms of their motivations. They might be made out of kryptonite or whatever instead of carbon, but there is one universal constant of evolution by natural selection that will determine how they work and their final form.

With that in mind, if we found another planet with life on it, what would we do with it? Build giant stone structures? Or enslave the native population and mine it to get as much gold and Helium-3 out of it as possible? Realistically, we would do the latter, and if aliens had visited earth they would have done so as well.

I say leave mars alone before you bring something back worse than Ebola. You ever think that it's a dead planet for a reason.

So

The universe is too big for us to be the only ones, yet of all the habitiable planets that sciantists are finding, not one of them is as perfect as earth is for sustaining life.

I still don't believe they are trying contact us.

So we're trying to contact them, but it's taboo to believe they are trying to contact us...even though most people believe that there are aliens but they are far too advanced and smug to care about us inferior humans.

We know next to nothing about the planets we are finding. They could very well be much better suited to life than earth is.

The universe may be too big for us to be alone in it, but it could also be too big for other intelligent beings to reasonably contact us. There could be other advanced civilizations bustling with life all over their own planetary system but the distances between stars are so huge it'd be impossible for most of them to bump into each other.

Aberrero also makes a good point. Exoplanet research is fast growing but still primitive compared to what we do in the solar system. I could also flip the Fermi Paradox on its head and suggest that, to other intelligent aliens, Earth may be a "poor" life candidate according to their observations that they don't find it worth their time investigating.
