Attempting to make a Kinzuadder. - Page 2

Interesting, it looks like an altered DA 3.5G / DA 3G rev.3 -PCB, with a different controller chip.

Here are the pins of the kinzu v2 button-PCB:
qPrSoaWl.jpg

I guess it was the top view instead of the usual bottom view, but you could follow the traces to the pins anyways.

I don't know if they kept the pins on the DA tho, but it is likely.
iIdoubt that the extra button would work, even when the DA PCB still has the pin for it, because the driver won't support it.
Would be nice if you could flash a firmware of the regular DA 3G on it, but i doubt it would work.

If you want to connect the wires in the end, start with soldering all wires to the button PCB first, then connect them to the DA PCB.

Ah this is great, it helps immensely, the PCB really is very strange, its like no other DA PCB I've seen so far, you wouldn't happen to know the pin outs for the Kinzu V2 Pro would you?..or is that included in your diagram that you have shown?...I so far haven't been able to find a clearly labeled layout of them.

it shows the kinzu v2(pro) button PCB pins.

this would be for kinzu v1:

I have a Kinzu V2 Pro and I want to make a Kinzuadder. I've been researching this and there's one thing that's unclear to me, what about the wires themselves? Would you be using the connecting wires on the Deathadder or would you have to get new ones altogether, the ones on the v2 pro are way too short obviously.

i used wires from an old USB-cable, but wire quality can vary between different cables.
Some have nice all metal cores, and some are mixed with plastic fibres in the core(which suck obv.).

I don't think I have anything that I can recycle for wires, would you happen to know what kind of electrical wires I'd need to buy?

3Shells, just ask for a PVC-insulated 0.25 mm^2 multi-core copper wire at any corresponding local store. Think you can go down to 0.1, but you wouldn't need to.

If it's DA3G you could use the ribbon itself.
thanks, I'll just find a 3.5g DA and use the ribbon instead then.
