I've never been happily successful with raid.

CPU: 4790k
Motherboard: Maximus Ranger VII
SSD: Samsung 840 pro x 2

Idk what else, uhm the hard drives are 3tb a pop.

Yo, so I set up two ssds in raid 0. Boom. It's fast. Love it.

Then I added my two 3 tb drives (non raid, they're just there for storage and back up)

Guess what? Nothing boots; it just takes me to the bios. It shows my drives, that aint a problem. Also, it shows that the two hard drives are non-raid... (the motherboard raid set up distro) Which is good! And I don't want to raid the media / back up drives. I just want separate, simple disks to put stuff on

Anyway, how can I get this sumbetch to boot WITH my back up / storage drives? Thanks

it might be happening because of your OC...... just back up/save a OC profile of your OC settings and return to default. if that fixes the issues then manually set your OC again. if not you can reload the OC profile/restore OC backup.

other things you can check/try...
im assuming your boot priority is set correctly?
have to tried using the boot menu instead of relying on the boot priority ?
have you tried using different sata ports off the mobo?

sata is hot swappable. have you tried plugging in the hdd after windows as booted? (warning the safety of this is debatable. same people say it not recommended to do this, some say its fine. i have never had a issue when doing it.)
