Hey guy's

Got a question i use AI Suit 2 for my overclocking and i got a 5ghz overclock on it and it ran fine i did 4 hours of prime95.

however i restarted it this morning and tried applying the OC to the actual bios and it will either not boot or it will boot but only at 4.12ghz is this an issue to do with settings is there something i have to change in the bios??? or is it something that ill have to deal with.( i even tried turning down the tune in the bios to a 4.7ghz and it still wont work mad.gif)

any information would be appreciated...

Always OC from the bios, never with a utility.
AI Suite is known to create issues . You'll do much better to uninstall it.

Give this a good read as it will get you where you want to be http://www.overclock.net/t/1348623/amd-bulldozer-and-piledriver-overclocking-guide-asus-motherboard

Consider running some IBT AVX http://www.overclock.net/attachments/13202

It will give you a better idea of when you're actually stable enough to get into those longer runs of Prime95.
Not intended to replace P95, just helps to speed up the process a little.

I always aim to pass 10 runs of "Very High" followed by 20 runs on "Maximum". Than I move onto Prime95 where the real fun starts biggrin.gif

Watch your temps closely!
