Im just impressed with how much stuff the villain fit in his one pocket at the beginning of the trailor. Game looks fun to play.

I never asked for a ban. I just question the people that enjoy this as entertainment. Each of their own, I just find it a tad disgusting, that is all. You play your psycho massacre game, I'll play my boring, dated FPS game.

Historic films are good, please continue making them as long as it's not ridiculously biased/innaccurate.
How would you rate my holocaust simulator on a scale of 1 to 10? You think you would crowdfund it? It's just a video game so I don't understand why others can get upset??

Im not upset bring it on. When is the release date? See im smart I know what REALITY and VIDEO GAME actually mean.

That is a very fair point, but the difference is that the general consensus on that specific topic is that its considered universally reprehensible(at best) and video game violence is simply a subjectively bad thing.

Millions systematically slaughtered for arbitrary reasons in real life is different than thousands offended over the "deaths" of digital constructs with no feeling or emotion. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I think we are on the same page. However, it's very possible to enjoy something without wanting to do it "IRL".

I'm an advocate of people voting with their wallets, I think Kotaku and the other SJW's are far more disgusting and dangerous than this video game.

I'm sure that's what the devs want you to feel. I think it's neat we can have a video game that makes the players feel conflicted.

I'm not into censorship I just like to play devil's advocate. Some people are squeamish (like I am) and those folks can leave the room or whatever on this game, which I wouldn't sign a petition over.

I do think there is a distant link between violence in the media and the kinds of crime we see. Crime in general is down. But perhaps the small minority of people that are complete sociopaths can get so affected by stuff like this that they bridge the gap to psycopaths and then our children get murdered in their classrooms. It's a small price to pay for freedom, I suppose.

i just dont really understand what all the commotion is about. this game doesnt represent real life events. its not like its a recreation of a real life mass shooting event. this is fiction. 100% fiction.

there was a game based on Columbine a few years back, and even though i have read heavily about Columbine, i had no interest in checking that game out. its disrespectful to the people that died that day.

again, this game is a work of FICTION. nothing more. and as has been said before, its not like anyone is forcing you to play it.

My opinion: Games a bit messed up. Not at all against video game violence, but in this context it's a little far for me redface.gif I actually kinda agree with Kotaku for once. The main character acts like a troubled teen similar to the columbine kids, and killing people for pleasure like that makes me sick.

However, I don't think it would be right to ban it, as offensive as it may be. It's not NEARLY as offensive as a "Holocaust Simulator" like someone mentioned above. Plus it would appear that the majority of gamers who've seen the trailer support it.

Not excited for when the big media looks into this, video games already have so much bad rep in that department already. At least Fox News will have some laughable reports on it I suppose. I remember when Mass Effect 2 came out Robin Meade(can't remember what news station she's on) basically said that the game was throwing pornography into kids hands and that kids usually can't tell the difference between games and reality rolleyes.gif

The problem is more of a mental health one than violent content in video games. At least in the US, to have a mental health issue is viewed as being weak or inferior. This stigma, as well as a complete lack of rehabilitation compared to just punishment, causes the violent outbursts we have today.

Like I said. I'm still not sure what I think. It disturbs me slightly, but I think it's because it's the type of violence. This is all coming from me...a HUGE fan of the GTA series.

Plus I can just see this game being talked about on big anti video game networks and being used as why violent video games are the devil.
