ASUS Z97M PLUS

Hi all,

Got some really serious problem now. I bought ASUS Z97M PLUS and I5 4690K. However i do not know what bios i will have on this motherboard. Can you tell me for sure that this board will run 4690K, without any bios update on beginning even with different spec? If so, when it starts i can easy update to newest bios.

And the second question is: i can choose between 3 bios now. The 1st, the description shows that after installation, CPU i5 4690k will be properly supported (oldest one), 2nd is just like 1st, and third, the newsest, only improves system operating, however there is no a single word about i5 4690k supporting.

Can you tell me for sure that the newest bios have support for 4690k just like older bios?

Yes, new BIOSes will support it. If you look at a motherboard CPU support list, if it says it supports it on a certain BIOS, it always means that BIOS and any released after it too. You just need to be at least on that version, if not a later released version.

Ok i understand your point, but i need to know one thing. If mainboard come to me with Bios 3025 and I4690k need 3030, will my PC boot? 3025 support I4690 without K. Is there a option to update Bios without CPU on that board? Thx for reply.

No need to worry about a conflict between these two, I have the same exact cpu/mobo combo (i5-4690k/z97m-plus). Everything will go smoothly.
