the number of sales however doesnt surprise me. bungie started a series that was amazing, and microsoft kicked them off it and made it a cash cow.

So much wrong with this post. Bungie went under half way through Halo for the PC. Microsoft bought and funded them so they could make it for Xbox only. Bundie wanted to stop after Halo 3 and make a different game, but MS kept them in it. Mungie broke away from Microsoft shortly after Halo 3 and sold the Halo rights to Microsoft.

I don't care about poncho chief Halo 5 myself. The last great Halo game was 3, and the devs (first Bungie, now 343) have not yet shown they can even approach what was done in Halo 1-3, let alone surpass it. I have zero expectations or hype about H5 and really believe the devs are clueless, at least as far as multiplayer goes.

On the other hand, I cannot wait to open up the MCC... it's already downloaded on my Xbone and I am super excited to dump a few thousand hours into it over the next few years biggrin.gif

Yup.

There's certainly lots they could do, like, all the stuff that anyone could do with any franchise right now and start integrating some of the dynamic environment type gameplay, from...

...

Minecraft...

Oh no. What have we done.

Well we know what Halo 6 is going to look like.

MCC has me eyeing an Xbox One myself. This, coming from someone who lamented the direction Xbox One took due to Microsoft's poor decisions and PR. MCC will be the Xbox One's first real system-seller, and I'm willing to bet at least a few million Xbox One units will be sold before the New Year solely due to MCC. Halo 2 and 3 were the best times in console gaming, IMO, and I desperately want to relive them since falling out of PC gaming due to the big 3 (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo) doing everything in their power to lock the future of gaming into consoles and kill PC gaming for good.

I'd pick up some M$ stock right now if I had the spare funds. After the increased sales reports of the Xbox One coming this holiday season I'm thinking we'll see MSFT shares come up.

I know, it is tempting. So sad we'll never see a PC release of it. I want a heavy dose of high-res nostalgia.

I just don't really want to get either console.

Yeah, Halo was and still is a great game (s). I even had a Halo Ed. Xbox. I cannot believe that Microsoft isn't going to release it on PC. Im not going to buy a console just to play games I already know backwards and forwards. This is actually the first gen of consoles I have skipped since Atari 2600. PC is such a better gaming platform in my mind.

halocraft! 16bit 720p and the xbone will still run it like a limp noodle! Okay I'm done with the jokes.

The only reason i bought an xbox and xbox 360 was to play halo. Will be doing the same thing again once the new one is out. After i'm done with the game will be selling it.

You should look forward to a working Xbox One emulator 10 years from now
