this means 4k ips @120hz will soon be available. if it works @1080p then it will work on 4k, same pixels refreshing. just need to wait for the right cable thumb.gif

will be available at an estimated street price of $2,299 with first shipments in December 2014. The PA322UHD display with SpectraViewIItm calibration software and sensor also will be available at an estimated street price of $3,249.

This is a joke, right? You could get a bloody 5k IPS iMac for that price.
Or the upcoming BenQ 4K IPS monitor for $1000.

Man, I'd be willing buy a 4K monitor that supports requires dual displayport cables to hit 120hz on 4k.

The BenQ monitor is not a IZGO IPS panel that is designed and calibrated for color work. It's not a 10 bit professional panel with a 14 bit look up table. rolleyes.gif

What do you need 14-bit LUT for?

That benq may be not quite as good, but it is a 100% sRGB 10bit panel targeted at graphic designers. I can't imagine there being that much of a difference.

You can't use the iMac as a stand alone monitor, though. You have $600 in computing parts and $1900 in monitor, so when your workload changes, you're screwed. Unless they prefer OSX, professionals are better of with a more customizable solution and there are plenty available. Not this monitor though, it cost too much.
