weight of Xion AXP-1000k14XE vs Corsair HX1000i

It's not a proper comparison. They are not on the same level, at least in terms of price, and weight doesn't always reflect quality.

It's obvious that Corsair's will weigh more than Xion's, but it's still fun to look at the exact numbers.

Keep in mind that Xion's PSU has two non-modular cables, 24pin and 8 pin cpu. But with two cables attached, it still checks in 253 grams less than the HX1000i.

Just FYI, my Xion 1000w PSU was dead 2 days ago, after 10 months of use. I'm going to get it RMA'd while I still can.
Take out a little more from your pocket and get a quality PSU on your first try, you won't regret.

I knew people would ask this question wink.gif

I didn't know how much I'd use before I bought the Xion. Then over the past few month with a Kill-a-watt, I found sometimes I would push my machine around 700w, of course that's from the wall with a 80 plus bronze efficiency. Now with a platinum psu, I will probably draw 100w less, But I found a deal for the hx1000i, then why not? considering it's super efficient and I'd like to have a little safety margin. Also for future proof, I'm thinking about adding some other useless but power consuming stuff in the machine, just because I'm bored...
