PC gamers damn themselves, really.

Honestly I've found that there's no right way to purchase a game other than to see if it the actual game is worth playing before actually buying (which is sometimes impossible). Regardless of bugs, cost, optimization etc. I'm going to buy it if it's worth it, in some circumstances I won't if the company behind the game hasn't done something to deserve that money (Ubisoft), but in the end if a game is worth buying to me, I will buy it, even if from someone elses' perspective I'm ruining PC gaming by buying something I enjoy.

Meh.

Pretty much, I blame them for the continuation of cut content from games to be sold extra at release. Plain and simple suckers to say the least.

I'm right there with you and that is one of the reasons that I did not purchase FC3 at all. As an active animal conversationalist and a strong opposer to trophy hunting I will be using the $90 that FC4 is worth and will be including it in my bi yearly donation to LCF and LA as that will be a better use of my money.

Exactly a game has to prove itself to be of any worth to me, that includes bugs, graphics, game play, story, complete content, optimization, resolution, frame rate, etc.

One thing I'm wondering though are the preorder exclusive items really exclusive to preorder or is there a way to get them after ?

I refuse to pay for an incomplete product to only have the rest of it purposely withheld from the final product only to be sold to me for more money upon release. These type of games are the ones I wait to go on extreme discount, are given away for free, or find a way to borrow it. Gaming today is a joke with all the cut backs of quality, resolution, frame rate, content and stupidly overpriced games. only game I bought this year was Guild Wars 2 and really only looking forward to Witcher 3 and GTA5 next year.

You say a game has to prove itself to you yet you're already denying to buy it unless it's dirt cheap. The game hasn't even released yet lol seems more of the "I hate Ubisoft" mentality.

He listed complete content as one of his indicators of worth. We already know the game isn't complete with all the day one DLC.

By dirt cheap I mean pennies on the dollar such as Humble Bundles, etc. which the money goes to charity and the games are just a bonus. This isn't a "I hate Ubisoft mentality" the entire game industry is a joke today and I personally cannot wait for another burst to happen to turn it around.

lol. A lot of hate in this thread.

I'll likely be buying it shortly after release. Wanting to hear the reviews first though.

Yet you mention that you've already bought the Gold edition for FC4 and AC:U

What does what I did have anything to do with it? That literally isn't relevant at all.
